06.16.2007 I travelled to Philly today to shoot a video for Pitchfork about colorful and wonderful local band ManMan. Juan of Juan's Basement produced. Highlights: bike stunts, firecrackers, shrimp burritos. The video should be up on Pitchfork soon.
06.13.2007 Today we scouted the unfinished portion of The Highline as a location for our "Opus Jazz" shoot in 2 weeks. It was spectacular.
06.09.2007 It is safe to reveal that we are moving forward on a project that Ariel and I have been working on for over a year. It is a film version of Jerome Robbin's ballet "Opus Jazz" to be shot on anamorphic 35mm throughout the streets of New York City. The project is the brainchild of New York City Ballet soloists Sean Suozzi and Ellen Bar. The first shoot is set for the 28th of June.

05.26.2007 Last night Ariel and I shot the premiere of our good friend Juan's rock opera "Champ" at The Knitting Factory. The show will be playing for several nights at the upcoming Fringe Festival in New York and our company Supermarché will be designing the video projections.

05.17.2007 I had an incredible night of shooting at The Jazz Foundation's annual fundraiser at The Apollo for Edward Hillel's upcoming documentary about Harlem Jazz musicians. Jimmy Norman, Dr. John, Elvis Costello, Charlie Watts, and legendary jazz drummer Roy Haynes performed.

05.01.2007 GOOD Magazine flew Jody and me from Boston to LA to co-direct a series about veterans of the Iraq War for their upcoming cover story. The videos will be featured on their website. We tried to go to In-N-Out Burger twice, but were twice foiled.

03.22.2007 We delivered the stop-motion animations and Rube Goldberg videos to RJO today. They will be screened in Chicago at the end of the month.

03.08.2007 Supermarché had its first live action shoot today, committing Brian Matthew's Rube Goldberg machines to HD video. The videos still need sound design, but they'll be up on the web soon.

02.22.2007 Ariel Schulman and I were hired by RJO Group to produce 5 stop-motion animations and to build (and film) 3 custom Rube Goldberg-style machines for a major pharmaceutical company.

02.17.2007 Today I shot an interview with the R&B singer Jimmy Norman for Edward Hillel's upcoming documentary about Harlem Jazz musicians. Jimmy performed with Jimi Hendrix, collaborated with Bob Marley, sang with The Coasters for three decades, and co-wrote the Rolling Stones classic "Time Is On My Side".

02.08.2007 Today I shot Evelyn Blakey, legendary jazz musician Art Blakey's daughter, perform at P.S. 133 in Brooklyn for an upcoming documentary about Harlem jazz musicians I am developing with Edward Hillel.
02.03.2007 Tonight I shot some footage for the Rock and Republic fashion show and afterparty at The Hiro Ballroom. The highlight was shooting Lady Sovereign perform, who rocketed to the top of my list of favorite female British MC's.

11.01.2006 Henry directed an episode of Juan's Basement for Plum TV today in Brooklyn. He had a delicious steak sandwich for lunch. The show featured the music of Dr. Dog and was shot by the inestimable Jody Lee Lipes.

directed the pilot episode of Unsigned, a new show chronicling the
lives of unsigned bands. The show was produced by Ian Doody for Plum TV, shot by Jody Lee Lipes, and features the music of Christina Courtin's Running Kicks.

traveled to New Orleans this week to shoot interviews and b-roll for a
documentary about a public school in the aftermath of Hurricane
Katrina. The film is directed by Gabriel Nussbaum and Elizabeth Wood
and is currently in post-production.

12.12.2005 Henry has been selected as a regional finalist in the Toyota Scion Xpress Fest. He has been awarded a full production budget to direct a video for Brooklyn band Palomar. The finished video will be screened nationwide and will be in competition for a $20,000 grand prize.
10.25.2005 Henry directed the pilot episode of 'Pentimento' for Plum TV today in Tribeca. Henry collaborated with cinematographer Jody Lee Lipes and producers Mary-Ann Page and Ian Doody.

08.02.2005 Henry operated a camera on the two-day shoot of Wyclef Jean's new music video "Every Day is a Holiday." The video was directed by Jeremy Blake with cinematographer Richard Numeroff and executive producer Cary Woods.
